Q: I can't find the damn place. Where the fuck are you located?

The Cider Hole is located on the first floor of Krynkl -- a rectangular, metallic building made out of old shipping containers. When you're facing the complex, My Dentist and Syss Security will be to your left.

Our unit -- Unit 1.3 -- is located directly above the renowned restaurant Jöro.

Simply enter through Krynkl's main entrance and follow the hallway around to the stairwell. Walk up to the first floor and our door will be on your righthand side when you reach the top of the stairs.

Q: Do you have your own cider?

Yes! On the 5th of March, 2022, we officially became Sheffield's only urban microcidery when we released our first three batches of cider.

We'll be serving our own Exemption Ciderhouse cider, produced entirely on-site, as long as supplies are available.

Q: Why are your hours so limited?

The short answer is that I want to give you the best experience possible.

I opened The Cider Hole as a place for people to consume my favorite drinks. I want to answer your questions; I want to guide you towards new drinks; I want to chat with you about beverages of all sorts. But I've also kept my job as a food and beverage writer, and I have a family. So unfortunately, I can't be at the bar all the time.

We do have qualified staff to fill in when I am gone, but we're growing at a pace that makes us feel comfortable.

Q: Can I hire The Cider Hole for private events?

Yes, if I am available to open for a private event, I will. Simply email theciderhole@gmail.com to let me know what you're looking for.

Q: Do you serve drinks other than cider?

Yes. We have a large range of hand-selected beers (from breweries like Deya and St. Mars of the Desert), hard seltzers, and wines by the glass (with a focus on natural wine) that changes and grows on a regular basis. We also offer a selection of non-alcoholic beverages. However, the only cocktail we serve is our house gin and tonic which, despite being delicious, is, admittedly, pretty basic.

Q: Can I buy bottles and/or cans to take away?

Yes. We have a licence for both on-premise and off-premise.

Q: Can I order online for collection or delivery?

Q: Are children permitted?

Yes. I have a 6-year-old, so children of all ages are permitted at all times. However, please keep in mind that the space is very small, and children must be closely supervised at all times.

Q: Are you dog-friendly?

Yes. Any dog who is as well-behaved as my 5-year-old is allowed, and water can be provided. But please keep in mind, the space is very small.

Q: Do you serve food?

No. Only a selection of crisps and sweets curated by my aforementioned 6-year-old.

However, you are welcome to bring in food from a takeaway of your choice. Just please be mindful that it is a small space with a limited number of tables.

Q: Are you on social media?

We primarily use Instagram, but we also occationally post stuff to Twitter, Facebook, and TikTok.

Q: Are you American?

Yes.

Because that is where I was born. Sorry.

Q: Why does your music suck?

I keep about 40 LPs sitting out. You are free to choose whatever you want me to play. In actuality, they are all awesome.

Q: Why does your website suck?

Because I designed it myself, and I want it to be simple.
